I just love when my Internet randomly goes out -___- Luckily I have my phone but it isn’t as easy to use. Gonna shower soon and hopefully it will work soon after. If not, I will try and para reply from my phone.
He knew this conversation was getting uncomfortable for her. Heck, it was getting uncomfortable for him. They would probably never see each other after this year’s camp. But he wanted to know. More than anything, if she felt the same way. He had to know. “We could have a Karaoke night? A lot of the people here love singing.” He laughed at his dumb idea. He enjoyed Karaoke, it was fun to him.Since he had a good singing voice, it was a piece of cake to get up in front of everyone. But the other subject rattled in his brain. Over and over again he thought of it. “Quinn,” He said, realizing it had slipped out of his mouth. Well theirs no turning back now, he thought. He grew closer to her, giving her a warming smile. “I need to know something.” He whispered.
Quinn laughed lightly along with him when he said that he thought they should do a karaoke night. “That would be pretty fun, actually,” she replied with a nod. “Even if people don’t want to sing, then we can just give them some alcohol to loosen them up,” Quinn added in a joking tone. She wasn’t big on alcohol, but it was mostly because she was pretty much a light weight. It was true, though, that a lot of people did loosen up when they drank and were more likely to participate. “We’ll have to see what everyone else thinks.” Quinn took a wild guess that since a lot of them didn’t mind singing that it would be an idea that everyone would be up for. Quinn looked out of the corner of her eye at him when he says her name randomly. She was about to respond, but she noticed him moving closer to her and opening his mouth to speak again. She raised an eyebrow curiously when he said he needed to know something. “What’s that?” she questioned.
Her voice trailed off. Trent nodded in agreement. True he liked her alot. And he hoped she had feelings for him to, but he had to wait. Wait till she was ready to tell him the truth. But she was right. They only had a few months together. Practically one. And Finn hadn’t even come yet. He looked back up at Quinn, who was wondering why he was so quiet.”Yeah you’re right. But you gotta let them know if you did like them.” Their eyes met, and Trent could feel a blush forming. Did she know what he meant? Did he let his feelings slip in one sentence. He needed a cover. “So any other fun stuff like the bonfire coming up any time soon?” He mentally made a sigh of relief. Nice save, he thought to himself.
Having this conversation could potentially make things awkward between them. She definitely didn’t want that to happen, but there wasn’t much she could do about it. Quinn wouldn’t know for sure if things would be awkward until after the conversation took place, and it was one that needed to happen soon. He was nodding along with what she was saying, so that was a good start. Or at least she hoped it would be. Quinn was just trying to be careful. She didn’t want to get into something that she knew she was going to regret having to leave at the end of the summer. She didn’t even know what town he was even from, so who knows if he was anywhere nearby her town. They all seemed to be from pretty far over. She turned to look at him after her finally started to speak. She didn’t respond to his comment, but she understood what he was trying to say. Or, at least, she thought she understood what he was saying. She could tell he was trying to switch the topic though, so that’s why she chose not to respond. “Um,” she began, trying to think of if she remembered any upcoming events. “Nothing I’ve planned. I don’t know about anything else, so maybe. Who knows. Everything seems to happen randomly here.”
When she smiled, she lit up the whole sky. She gave the moon a run for it’s money. He couldn’t help but smile. He looked away, blushing. How couldn’t he? He blushed everytime Quinn did something cute. Which was practically every moment. He turned back, licked his lip, and played with his bottom lip in his teeth for a moment. He wanted to ask her a question. THE question. Not like a marriage proposal, but if she liked him too. They had only known each other for almost 3 days. Was that enough time to develop feelings for someone. “So do you like anyone?” He blurted out, not thinking. He bit on his lip waiting for the answer.
Quinn noticed him looking away, and she wondered if he was blushing. It was hard to tell since it was dark out, so she wasn’t sure. There was a little bit of light by the shore (since they had lights to guide the way), but they were at the end of the dock, so Quinn really couldn’t see as well as if they were on land. She wouldn’t tease him about it, because she wouldn’t want to be teased about it. If he was blushing and she brought it up, then that’s when they’d have to start talking about what was going on with them. Quinn wasn’t sure if she was ready for that topic….but she supposed they were going there. He was vague with his question though, and he wasn’t really asking directly if she liked him. “I’m guessing you mean it in more the ‘like’ as a friend way,” Quinn began slowly. “I don’t know yet. I haven’t decided if I want to even think about dating anyone here. It’s not because there aren’t really great people here, but I mean…we’re all going to be gone in a few months. I don’t know how good of an idea it is if we’re all going to be gone in August…” she trailed off. “So I’m still sorta deciding.”
who doesn’t like heath ledger?
Crazy ass people.
Who? Heath Ledger? Of course I like Heath Ledger.
I know where you’re going with this, but I’m not giving you the answer you want. Most everyone is pretty likable here.
Trent looked her arms over. “You sure, those guns look pretty large.” He laughed as he squeezed her arm gently. He put up his arm and flexed. “Now these, these are muscles.” He said with a laugh. He knew he didn’t have the biggest muscles ever. In fact, his legs had more muscle then his arms. All those years on Swim Team were the cause of it. He was stronger in his legs in Swim team though. But that didn’t stop him. His attention snapped back to her. “Um, I don’t know. I had only met Burt once, then I was shipped off here. Finn didn’t like him that much. But from what Kurt and Tannis say, Burt seems like a good Dad. Right now, I really want a father figure, when I growing up ya know?” He looked down and bit his lip. “Sorry for getting mushy on you.”
Quinn attempted to flex her arms when he said her guns were pretty large. “I’m not a body builder though or anything,” she joked. “But some people have asked if I’m selling tickets.” She wasn’t muscular in her arms at all really, but it was fun to joke about it. By tickets, she meant how people usually joked about buying tickets for the gun show. When he lifted up his arm, Quinn lifted hers up next to his. “Oh, not too bad, I guess,” she teased him. The conversation easily switched from teasing and joking around to a more serious conversation. Quinn nods slowly as she listens to him talk about how he had only met Burt once. She knew that she didn’t know what she would do without having both parents around, even if her family was known for shoving things under the carpet. She didn’t know what she would do if her father wasn’t around though. Quinn shrugged lightly, but not in the ‘didn’t care’ sort of way. It was in the ‘it’s not a big deal’ way. “Don’t worry about it. I am a girl, after all. We handle mushy better than boys usually,” she replied, a smile on her face to lighten the mood a bit.
